Heart has the function to circulate mainly blood throughout the body to each and every part of the body and to each and every organ of the body.Blood cotain red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets.RBC functions to transport oxygen to each and every organ while WBC functa defense mechanism.Platelets helps in blood clot where ever injury takes place in our body.

Location of the heart: Heart is in the centre between two lungs and heart and lungs are protected by the rib cage.Now,you will wonder that if the heart is in the center than why you fell heart beat on your left side.I have the answer for the same.It is because lower triangulated portion of the heart is pointing towards the left side and as it pumps it gives one the feeling that heart is towards the left side.

Parts of the heart: Heart mainly has four parts.They are:Left auricle, right auricle,left ventricle and right ventricle.

Valves present in the heart: Bicuspid valve, Tricuspid valve,aortic semilunar valve and pulmonary semilunar valve.

Nodes present in heart:Sino atrial node(SA NODE) and Auricular ventricular node(AV NODE).
