Answer

Any number that can be rewritten as a simple fraction is a rational number. This means that natural numbers, whole numbers and integers, like 5, are all part of the set of rational numbers as well because they can be written as fractions, as are mixed numbers like 1 ½

Rational numbers between 5 & 6 could be

$$\frac{11}{2},\frac{16}{3},\frac{21}{4},\frac{26}{5},\frac{27}{5},\frac{51}{10}$$

Steps

  1. Decide on your demonitor, for example 7
  2. Multiply 7 by 5 which gives you 35
  3. Add a number less then 7 as 7 or more would make the number equal or greater than 6
  4. For example 7 * 5 + 2 = 37 making a rational number $$\frac{37}{7}or\ 5\ \frac{2}{7}$$
