The problem was that the Union did not wanted slavery in USA so they made life of people from the south harder because the slaves were the main workers on plantations of cotton and it was the main income of states from south so they made another country from the states where people wanted slavery. Union did not wanted that so president Lincoln went on a war with the confederation.
