Photosynthesis is the process through which plants convert sunlight and carbondioxide into energy or food. The process is very simple: the chlorophyl in the leaves abosorbs the sunlight and the roots of the plant absorb water and nutrients from the soil , while the stomata or the pores absorb carbondioxide from the atmosphere and a number of chemical reactions are performed thus resulting in the release of oxygen and glucose.
